    Last week, I heard from the Japanese TV news that the Roppongi Hills Xmas illumination has started. Big department stores in Tokyo have started decorating their Xmas trees.

    Isn't this too early?

    I remember when I'd lived in New York State, US., the Rockfeller Center Xmas tree was lit on somewhere around December 1st after the thanksgiving weekend.

    The pumpkin I bought at a flower shop in my neighborhood was delivered yesterday. Since it was too heavy to carry, I asked the shop to send it to me.

    Believe it or not, it cost 7,000yen! The exchange rate today is $1=90yen; so, around $77!! This pumpkin is width 20cm(=8 inches) and height 30cm(=12 inches) long.
