About Smiling7

Adult ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Instructor: I'm a believer in intentional dialogue and storytelling as effective, meaningful change strategies; a believer in avoiding war, enabling peace. I'm a "self-described eclectic with tangential tendencies."

In reverse alphabetical order, here are a few more words to describe me: wife, 'wannabe' global traveler, volunteer, TESOLer, Twitterer, recycler, poet, photographer, mom, listserv follower, floral designer, blogger, avid reader, more!

I have attended and presented at several conferences: local, regional, state, international, (both in person and virtually).

Locally, I do volunteer work for literacy and refugee organizations.

Other recent volunteer work is / has been with groups focusing on community dialogue, refugee concerns, undoing racism, poetry, nature parks and trails, storytelling, more.

The fee listed for my hourly rate is negotiable depending upon what type of lesson is provided (casual conversation practice, writing / editing suggesting, English for specific purposes, pronunciation, one-time class or multiple hours per week classes, one-to-one chats or small groups, and so on). Please consider booking a 15-minute session to talk about possible options, and then we can negotiate a fair rate for subsequent classes. Thank you!
