Check that post if you don't understand some of the words used.

Choose three questions my students wrote. Answer them.

2 Did you wind up studying?
3 Do you have a lot in common with the other people in your class/job?
4Have you ever gotten cold feet?
5 When you started university, did you have second thoughts?
6 Are you dying to study at university?
7 Have you learned from your mistakes or do you think history repeats itself?
8 Do you think someone could read your mind?
9Can you tell by a person's face that they are happy?
10 Have you met a man/woman and acted nice, but deep down you didn't like them?

:) is it joke? I meant ' flight' ( by plane).. :)
Thanks a lot for your respond.

Oh, dear! I'm sorry! The font is so small on my computer. Of course it wouldn't be "fight". What was I thinking? Sorry. It did make for a funny misunderstanding though :)

You want to fight? You seem like such a sweet girl!

1. I'm chicken especially before flight. However I like it. If I new I would be safe, I would enjoy it much.

2.Yes , I had ben studying Russian language but I winded up it and moved to States where I lived more or less 2 years. Now I 'm studying English and somethimes I think I want to wind it up :)

This is a correct use of "wind up". This meaning is to finish something. This is a little different from the meaning I gave. The meaning I gave was similar to "end up". Both are good. Thank you for reminding me of this other use.

5.Yes, I had second thoughts , cause I don't like staying in one place too long and studying require it.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. To have second thoughts comes after you make a decision. You make decision A and think that it is a good idea. Afterward, you think that maybe decision B would have been better.

All the others were perfect :) Good job!

4.I've got cold feet before moving to another town.

6.I'm dying to study at foreign university.
7.I think , unfortunately that history repeats itself...
8.Somethimes I think my husband read my mind :)
9.Yes I think I could do it. The Eyes are the part of the face that says most.
10.Yes, somethimes. It was one of my bosses or teachers. Now I think it was good cause in some cases my opinion of that person changed and is better now, but if I behaved in wrong way it might be harming for that person.

8 Do you think someone could read your mind?

I heard my cousin use this idiom yesterday.

We were waiting in the driveway for my boyfriend to arrive in the van. When we saw the van, my cousin told me, "I think he should pull the car forward so he can back into the driveway." (It is more usual for someone to just pull in forwards.)
My boyfriend didn't hear her say this, but he did pull forward. As he started to back in, my cousin said, "He read my mind."

Cold feet is not just a loss of confidence, but you get nervous before doing something. Since you were already playing, I would say you got cold feet about going back onto the field after a half-time break or something like that.

The other two uses of idioms are perfect. Glad you have met someone, your wife, that you can be so in tune with.

Thanks for your correction.

4. Have you ever gotten cold feet?
In a football match, my team was behind the opposite team by 3 goals after the first half. I got cold feet and had no confidence that my team could end up winning the game.

dying to = you really, really want to do something. It uses the word "dying" but it does not mean "ending life"

It is great exercise. I will pick up three questions and give my answers.

4. Have you ever gotten cold feet?
In a football match, my team was behind the opposite team by 3 goals after the first half. I got cold feet and had no confidence that my team could end up winning the game.

5. When you started university, did you have second thoughts?
No at all. I was so excited to go to university. Because I have come a long way to be able to go to university, there was nothing that could hinder me from starting university.

8. Do you think someone could ready your mind?
I think my wife is the only 'someone' who can read my mind. We have met for 9 years and been married for 4 years. She can tell what I'm thinking without the need to open my mouth.

9. Sometimes a person seems to be happy but deep down is unhappy.

How do you know? You said, "You can't tell by looking at their face." So, how can you tell?
