About Creative

I have been an English teacher in Canada and the United Kingdom for 15 years. I have enjoyed this immensely as it is fascinating to observe how students acquire the intricacies of the English language. I was born in South India but I grew up in one of the coldest provinces in Canada (Saskatchewan) where the average winter temperature is -35 to 40 degrees Celcius. We had a Siberian husky who used to pull me, my dad and brother on a sled. One of my fondest memories of Saskatchewan was gazing at the magnificant aurora borealis (northen lights) almost every night. It was exciting to see these brillant lights dancing in the night sky. I currently live in Birmingham, UK where I live with my husband and little daugher. The most interesting teaching experience I have had was in Rotherham, South Yorkshire where people tend to say "I'm going down t' pub'' or ''' Hello duck'' or " Hello luv" for a greeting. The Rotherham dialect is quite unique as it is old English.
