Okay. Thanks. I guess I have to manually accept the friend requests. Twitter allows automatic acceptance so all people who want to add can just add themselves and I just get an email notifying me I have a new friend. Manual add works too. :)

and if you want to make new friends go to that persons profile whom
you like and than add them as a friend . and for accepting request

Hi Monica, Whenever you get a Friendship request, you will be notified through your recent activity page and also a notification will be displayed on your profile page. Clicking on which will take you the Friendship Request Accept / Deny page. There you can click the appropriate link to accept or deny the friendship request. Alternatively you can directly go to your Manage Friends page to accept / deny or remove any of your friends.
